1What a square is, and what it is not

A square is one cell on a 1,000 by 1,000 grid of 1,000,000 squares. When you buy one, you give it a color, and depending on your rung of the perk ladder, a name, a link, an image, and more. You are buying a digital good plus the promotional services attached to it. That is the whole product, and it is a fun one.

• Not an investment. Squares do not gain value, pay nothing back, and promise no financial return of any kind.
• Not equity. Owning squares gives you zero ownership of the project or of any company behind it.
• Not crowdfunding. You are not backing a future product. Everything you get is listed on the perk ladder at the moment you buy.

2Perks, and how fast they arrive

Perks are cumulative. They unlock on your total squares owned across all purchases, and every window below starts when your content passes review.

If a perk misses its window, email us. We will make it right, or refund the squares tied to that perk. Your call.

3Review, moderation, and the refund promise

• Every submission gets human review within 24 hours, before anything renders on the grid.
• If something needs a tweak, we email you exactly what to change and hold your squares while you fix it. The full flow lives on the Rules and moderation page.
• If we reject your content outright and cannot land on a version together, you get a full refund of those squares to your original payment method.
• Approved content can be edited later. Every edit goes through the same review as a first submission.

4The ten year grid promise

• The grid stays online for a minimum of ten years.
• Every link on it gets a health check each quarter, for that entire run.
• Your square never expires, is never resold, and never rotates out.
• If the grid ever retires after the ten year window, the plan is a read only archive, not a blank page.

5The rare stuff has hard caps

Two perks are deliberately scarce, and the caps are absolute:

• 10,000 squares: A custom micro-tool built for you plus permanent Patron placement. Only 5 ever
• 50,000 squares: The Landmark: 5 percent of the grid, title sponsorship, a 4-week MVP built for you, a year of integration. Only 1 ever

Capped perks go to buyers in the order they qualify, counted by total squares owned at the moment of purchase. When one sells out it is gone forever, and the buy page will say so.

6Payments and refunds

• Stripe processes every payment. Prices are in US dollars, at $1 per square.
• We never see or store your card number. More on that in the privacy page.
• Once your content is approved and live, purchases are final, except for the rejection refund and the perk promises above.
• If something on your statement looks wrong, email us before disputing the charge. A human will sort it out fast.

7Your content, your rights, our license

• You keep full ownership of everything you upload.
• You give us a nonexclusive license to display it on the grid, in the directory, and in project media like milestone videos and social posts.
• You promise you actually have the rights to what you upload. Trademark abuse and impersonation get handled under the rules.

8The unavoidable legal basics

• The service is provided as is. We fix problems in good faith, but the promises in these terms are the only warranties we make.
• Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us.
• We can update these terms. Changes get posted here with a fresh date up top, and meaningful changes get emailed to buyers.
• These terms are governed by United States law. If we ever disagree, the first step is an email and a conversation, like adults.
